Join Team Teklits at Light the Night 2007

I can't believe that Fall is right around the corner - football, apple cider, pumpkin patches...and Light the Night 2007! I bit off a bit more than I can chew this year and became a team captain for Light the Night. Thanks to Cathy G. for giving me the idea! I'm working to create a fundraiser next month to generate some interest among my DC friends and family. Is anyone interested in walking in DC this year? It is a breathtaking event - and a gorgeous time of year to visit the city. Visit our team walksite at Light the Night. Thanks for your interest and hope to catch up with you soon!

Please send the details about the walk .... I am very interested in joining you. When , where, how hard is it to get to, to park the car, that kind of info.
I have a sister who lives in Woodbridge. I haven't seen her in 2 years, ever since I made the mention she needs some prozac, she hasn't really talked to me. Hmmm, maybe I can make up with her and crash at her house. Looking forward to helping. Ruth McGinnis

Hey there ladies! The walk is on Saturday, October 13th and is at Freedom Plaza in DC. There is a metro stop about two blocks away, making it pretty easy to get to. From Woodbridge, you'd have to drive and park at a metro station - but metro is definitely the easiest way to travel. We can always coordinate a caravan! Mary Day, you can register as a member of Team Teklits but then it lists your default walksite as DC. Maybe there's a walk near your home? Check the light the night website out to see. Thanks ladies for your interest and for keeping up the blog!!!

Jessie,

Holy Moses! When I saw your goal of $10,000 I definitely got teary eyed. I really, really hope that you guys not only reach it, but also exceed the total since it is for such great people. For anyone who can't venture down to DC, I'll be walking at Gwyneed Mercy College on October 20, 2007 for Debbie and Uncle Bob. Numero Dos, maybe we can make this a new tradition every fall. Good luck Jessie, I hope you guys are doing good down there!

Debbie,

Haven't seen you since the blood drive, but I'm always asking Reen how you're feeling. Not sure how your counts are now and stuff, but I keep talking to Reen about going to the movies and then forget to call her when I say I will. I stink. Anyways, if you're able to make it out at all, my treat! Stay strong.

Frustrated at work today and checked in on the blog. Which lead me to leave you a note as your walk date in October is Homecoming for the boys. Dave is out of town so I think I need to be here to tie ties. Soooo I checked in on the St. Louis Light the Night and got all excited as it winds through Forest Park (STL version of Central Park) but it is on a date which Dave's brother will be visiting to watch to boys play football. So I have decided just to send money.

Also...I will be in Baltimore late Sunday August 26th til the 30th. I have Wednesday free during the day. I wasn't sure what your work situation is and how flexible as I figure you are spending every free/vacation day up in Philly or at the shore. Just thought I would check. I originally thought I would try and sneak up to Philly but that may be pushing it.

Send me an email at eileenc@yhti.net.

:) COD Eileen
