HOME AGAIN !!!

Dear Fods,

Debbie was discharged from HUP yesterday afternoon and after a long ride home, she was warm and comfortable in her own bed for the first time in 16 days. She is very happy to be home and we are glad to have her back again. She said that she finally slept well last night and we will make sure that she comes down and moves around more today than she has been getting away with in the hospital.

Debbie is very weak and thinner than ever. All of the "water weight" is now gone and we will need to start working in the kitchen to come up with some meals that appeal to her. Last night she did have an entire Mac and Cheese which is more than I have seen her eat in two weeks. Today we will try some sauce Bolognese and some nice pasta. While in the hospital Debbie basically survived on cream based soups from the new deli called "Potbellies".

They moved all of Debbie's meds over to PO over the past two days and I took the dozen or so scripts over to CVS last night for be filled. When I came back to pick them up the druggist asked me if I wanted a shopping cart! We will fill up the pill box later today and hopefully all of this stuff will keep Debbie up and about for a while longer.

Thanks to all for your blogs, cards and calls. They help to keep Debbie going.

Debbie sends her love to all.

Yippee!

Mac and cheese, spag bolognese and you're own bed? Oh Chiz, you have to be feeling better already.

I sure hope so, honey.

It must have felt so good to take a breath of fresh air and to feel the sun on your face.

I'll be thinking of you today. Mr. Hal, the boyz and I are going to load up the car and go in search of some quaking Aspens - we hope we don't find snow instead!

Hope you can spend the afternoon, propped up on the sofa, surrounded by cozy pillows, wrapped up in a comfy blanket, watching football and noshing on lots of scrummy tidbits prepared by Chef Joe.

I love you honey - Kris.

Prayers continue...

Yippee is right! Just called your room and got no answer so thought I'd check the blog. I know you were hoping to come home before Monday but I didn't expect it would be Friday! Thank God.

Bob and I are hanging out this weekend so if you need anything don't hesitate to call. On second thought I'll give a call to let you know we're here if you need anything. Oh, I'm so thrilled for you.

All our love, Mo and Bob

Hi Debbie:

I can't imagine what a relief it is for you to be home. Now you can concentrate on gaining weight.

Pasta always sounds good to me and I hope you can get a normal portion down tonight.

Another victory for Colin's Varsity squad this past Friday night. 49-8. Dave tells me Colin had his best game ever. Being on the offensive line and his duty being to protect the quaterback I really can't tell when one game is better than the other. If the QB isn't sacked I figure he has had a good game. I guess he really man handled the guy across from him this game.

Mere tells me she is spending lots of time in the Library this weekend. Several tests next week and most of them on Monday. She is going to come home for a short spell this coming weekend to help me with a Homecoming dinner for 34 Juniors.

Brendan has two games this week. Should be fun.

Washington is in the big time now. We have a Kohl's and a Target. So yesterday Aunt Angie and I hit them both. She seemed to enjoy it. She found some pants that fit. You know how everything is so low waisted and that doesn't appeal to her at all.

Dave is up taking care of the farm animals. He gets up at the crack of dawn.

Need to work on some laundry...getting breakfast and heading to church.

Take it easy and enjoy your bed!

Love to all...special hug to your chef. COD Eileen

Hey Chiz-

How's it going, girl? Praying and hoping that a weekend of Joe's home cooking and your own comfy bed have got you feeling better!

Our trip in search of quaking Aspens was successful...it was a beautiful day in the mountains and the Aspens were really something - bright, golden yellow splashes against the dark green of the tall pines. Quite pretty. We had lunch in Vail at an outdoor cafe and did some people watching - that's always fun. Hope to go back again and explore some more sometime.

It snowed here yesterday - just snow showers in the late afternoon and the frost was on the pumpkin this morning. Time to get those Cuddle Duds out I guess.

Well, it's Monday and even though it's Columbus Day it's still laundry day. Hah-hah. Guess I better hop.

I'm thinking of you honey and sending you those love vibes... Best to all the Teklits clan...

Kris
P.S. I had to set my alarm for Sunday's 7 am (5am MST) prayer session, but I made it - although I have to admit I was somewhat groggy. Prayers went up, honey!

I hope you are getting your strength back and that you are eating, eating eating. As always you are in my prayers ... love ya,

Hey Chiz-

It's me again. I'm just watching the sunset and thinking of you. It's a beautiful sight - wish I had the words to describe it to you. Words fail me sometimes when it comes to the beauty of nature.

Hope you're feeling well enough to even THINK of nature at this point and that a couple of days in your own crib has strengthened and rejuvenated you.

Yesterday, Mr. Hal and I went to the movies - the first time in an age. We went to see 3:10 to Yuma, and ladies, may I just say that Christian Bale is a fine specimen? The movie was pretty good too -if you like shoot 'em up Westerns, that is.

I know there are movie buff FOD's out there - Paging Miss Mo! Paging Miss Chiz! I am eagerly anticipating Cate Blanchett's, "Elizabeth: The Golden Years" - I think it comes out on the 12th and it looks great. Mr. Marvin is urging me to see it by myself...

Well, honey. These are my thoughts for you tonight. Hoping and praying that you are on the comeback trail and feeling better on all fronts.

Today's word: Faith.
“God, I trust You to be my guide and the inspiration for the fulfillment of all that is mine to be and do. In communion with You, I know that I am being guided and inspired in every needed way.

Although I may not see the precise way things will work out, I know that, with You, they will—regardless of how challenging circumstances may at first seem.

“I have faith that You are guiding the people I care about, for Your presence is within them also. My faith has strengthened in this time of prayer with You, dear God.”

Now with clarity and peace, I return to my day.

“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”—Psalm 32:8

,,hey deb.. i looked back to the blogs from last october and have come to the conclusion that octobers isn't a good month for you.. but it sounds like you're getting stronger everyday..i have been trying to read between the lines from other blogs... i sure hope it's true..
expecting a storm here in calif. mark's practice was cancelled the last 2 days so he has been trying to catch up on homework.. and i talked with patrick.. he has a cold, but it sounds like everyone on his dorm has it.. could it be from the dance party they had till 5am? anyways.. feels good enough to go see the original Exorcist tonight..apparently there are some scenes that they cut out from 30 years ago that were just too intense, he's hoping they will be in this showing...
work has been going fine...our one little boy has calmed down his language.. now, when we show him a new book or something, he just says.. dammmmmn.... better than kicking someones you know what..ha

Hey Chiz-

Just got off the phone with Jess and I am so glad to hear you are feeling stronger and have been building up some stamina again.
Forgot to ask how the chow has been...sure hope you are back on your feed. (ha-ha)

I can't tell you the unbelievable "lightness of being" I felt after talking to Jess. Just hearing that you were on the mend and doing okay - phew! Made me feel so good I think I need to go shopping or something (hah-hah)

But first how about your daily word. Feel compelled to shoot it out to you, honey.

Guidance.

Spirit within illumines my mind. I move forward with wisdom and clarity.

Gazing ahead at a flickering candle, I may see it as faint or remote. However, as I approach it, the flame appears brighter.

Like a candle in the distance, beckoning my arrival, the Spirit of God within leads me to right and perfect understanding.

As Spirit within illumines my mind, I am prayerfully guided. My inner vision is strengthened as I reflect upon choices of what to say and do. My inner light is a spiritual light that illumines all in my search for answers and direction.

I move forward with wisdom and clarity. Led to see the whole picture, I understand how important each part is to the whole. With assurance and confidence, I make right decisions on my path of discovery and inspire others on their own chosen paths.

“The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord, searching every innermost part.”—Proverbs 20:27

I love you, kiddo. Still keeping an evening candle lit for you...

dear deb, congrats on making it home, what wonderful news. Soak it all in and soak in all that hominess. Definitely should help you feel better. Have to tell you about my day yesterday. We had a team building event at work. We went to Farimount Park and we had a scavanger hunt using Segways. They are those machines you stand on and lean to move forward. I managed 15 minutes before one of my team mates lost control of hers and took me out. I went face down, thank god for the helmet. It was fun while it lasted. I am going to visit Dr. Wang tomorrow. Keep on getting stronger.
love, hugs, and prayers, jean

Dear dear Deb,

How are you I wonder? You prob'ly think I fell off the face of the earth....well, not quite. I've just been in Scranton. My Mom is in the hospital again w/ CP and A fib. She's stable right now and Tom is up there w/ my Dad. I just got home a little while ago b/c I have to do ACLS at MSC tomorrow, then I'll be going back up. So I just wanted to check in. It sounds from Kris' blog like you are doing okay. And yes Kris, I've been waiting for the new Elizabeth w/ bated breath. Deb, remember when we saw the first? and then watching the Oscars and being really miffed b/c Miss Cate was robbed that year by Miss Gwyneth...for Shakespeare in Love of all things....Sheesh! We couldn't believe it! We still can't!!!

Anyway Deb, just wanted you to know you are very much on my mind and in my prayers. I'll try to give you a call tomorrow. How'd the pizelles turn out by the way?.....Fods, can you believe our girl was actually baking less than one week after she came home??? You are amazing, woman! Talk to you soon.

I love you, Mo

Thanks to all those who joined together in prayer for Debbie's health and her family's faith last Sunday at 7 AM, or even earler in other time zones. Whether God answers the prayers exactly as we requested or in another way that we don't see, I believe that He loves us to depend on Him and does not ignore our prayers when we do. He owns and loves us from before we were born on earth, and stays with us forever. He sees what we can't, and knows our future.
