Eternally Grateful !!!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope this finds you all well and healthy and sleeping ! I am on my own so forgive the mistakes. Still no word on "the biliary washings" meaning if there are crystals coming from my gallbladder. No news is good news and i have been feeling good since last week. Actually, I've felt well for 7 days now. That's the most good days in a row since the summer. THANK YOU JESUS !!!!!!!! I think my good health is directly related to being able to see many family and friends over the last few weeks. I was out to dinner and a movie tonite with friends. We saw Dreamgirls. It is fabulous !!! Jennifer Hudson who plays Effie really does steal the show. What a voice. We had a great time. I'm having a group of girls over tomorrow (the Corpus Christie gang) so I came home and put a jewish apple cake in the oven. I forgot to add the cinnamon and sugar to the apples( thats what i get for starting a cake at 10:00pm)We shall see how it turns out....
Anyway, the cake was to bake for 90 min. so i decided to clear up some of the clutter in the kitchen, which lead me to Xmas cards and get well cards (which must be over 300 since the transplant alone). This is why I am writing to you all at this late hour. I AM OVERWELMED AT YOU GENEROSITY !!!! Your Xmas cards and messages were so kind. Of course i read them all when they arrived over the holidays but my memory is not what it used to be, which wasn't great to begin with. And the get well cards mean so much to me, many of which i don't remember receiving because i was so sedated for about 6 weeks, alot of that awful time is fuzzy.
You all told me to "stay strong" and "not give up" and always you reminded me i'm not alone. Well I've been crying my eyes out for an hour now that i have not been able to express my gratitude enough. Please know that each and every card and blog and phone call makes a differance . I tell everyone that the reason I am still here is because of ALL OF You !!!! It's a good thing that my man is asleep, he would not approve of such mushiness and although he is a much more accurate typist and much quicker he would change the words as you know he does. I just could not go to sleep without letting you all know how i feel. THANK YOU a hundred times, make that a million times over for everything you all have done to make this journey bearable for me and for my family.

With love and much gratitude, Debbie

Love you Deb! Just had to get in the first word here. Haven't been on my game lately and always seems to be trailing when it comes to blogging.

Talked to COD Mickey this evening and as always...you came up in the conversation.

Everyone is well. I think I already mentioned but Dave, Bee and I are headed to the Bahamas for a 4 day weekend on Thursday...another re-insurance junket. Bee will no doubt be thinking of the Jersey shore as he mounts the skim board. I will no doubt be thinking of all of the falls he will take to get it right.

Miss you to pieces. Love to all those crazy Teklits. A movie...I am so jealous! COD Eileen

Hi Debbie,

It sounds like you are doing great! Glad to hear it. Keep it up.
Sorry about your cake. Jewish apple cake without cinnamon? Hm. Maybe you could make a hot cinnamon sauce to pour over it.
Well, this is my last week of freedom. Jill is going back to work and I'm the official babysitter. It will be nice to see the baby everyday. He's going to daycare in the summer if Jill decides to keep working. Anyhow, all is fine here. Enjoy your company today.

Hi Debbie et al:

I'm back and missed not checking in on you. (or should I say you'all)

Our little jaunt to the Bahamas came at a great time. Bee celebrated his birthday in style. As you might imagine we had to drag him out of the ocean. The beach there is not suitable for skim boarding so he found other ways to amuse hisself.

The laid back attitude of the island (quite a contrast to the folks at the Jersey shore )caused us a late arrival back home but I think it was all for the best as we saw all of the Colts game in the Atlanta airport.

I hope you are still taking it easy and continuing to heal. Let's try and get together on the phone over the weekend.

Talk to you soon. COD Eileen

Hi Mrs. Teklits,
Happy Valentine's Day!! I got lucky, my Valentine's Day present was my mom! She flew in for the weekend and we had so much fun! She told me about your dinner with everybody, too. Without further ado... here is a joke.

Hello. Welcome to the Psychiatric Hotline:
If you are obsessive-compulsive, please press 1 repeatedly.
If you are co-dependent, please ask someone to press 2.
If you have multiple personalities, please press 3, 4, 5, and 6.
If you are paranoid-delusional, we know who you are and what you want. Just stay on the line so we can trace the call.
If you are schizophrenic, listen carefully and a little voice will tell you which number to press.
If you are manic-depressive, it doesn't matter which number you press. No one will answer.
If you are anxious, just start pressing numbers at random.
If you are phobic, don't press anything.
If you are anal retentive, please hold.

This made me laugh out loud in a very public computer lab and they all thought I was crazy!
XOXO,
Sarah Schneider
