Taking it Easy !!!!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to write a few words to let you all know that I am fine and to thank you all for the blogs and many Thanksgiving Day cards i received. You are the best !!!When we said grace on Thanksgiving Day i was most thankful for my family and all of you wonderful friends that cheer me on and check in on me. It is wonderful to hear from you and picture you in your homes on the holiday with oyur families. Donna C. a 31lb. turkey!!WOW! That has to be a record. Betty a healthy new grandchild to be thankful for. MaryDay a fullrecovery from your injuries and you still cooked dinner. Marianne, your trip to Breckenridge sounded like fun. I love snow and can't wait to see just a little. Cousin Mike, sory that Matthew was not home but your Christmas plans sound cozy. Bev sorry about the cold, what a differance from Louisiana... Cousin Eileen, do you eat the meat from the Doe ? We have many deer in our backyard. In fact, today Michael and i spent a half hor watching a big buck (we think 8 point) feasting on leaves.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mom and Dad stopped up before dinner for a visit and brought Joe some really good wine. Jess and Walid arrived around noon with the kids so they got to see them. The babies are ssssooooo cute!Christian is talking in sentences (he is 2 1/2) with the most adorable voice. Emma is a differant baby since i last saw her in July before the transplant. She smiles all the time (as long as mom or dad are in the room). She was sick with a cold and a very wheezy cough. Jessie had her to the doctors on weds night, and the doctor said she should stay home because she shouldn't be around me with my weakened immune system. I hadn't seen the kids in quite some time (4 months) and I thought it would help give me a boost in to see them. And it sure did. I tried to limit my kisses and really the kids did most of the work. There is nothing like babies giggles to make a person under the weather cheer up. So I had much to be thankful for to have all of my kids and grandchildren together. We mostly just hung around here with a few trips to the park because I wasn't feeling perky enough to go shopping. I am still nauseated and having some problems eating. I wish that would pass but we know that it just takes time. Back pain is still there keeping me up all night, but I am limiting sitting and anything that will iritate it. I will see an ortho on friday although I think i need a neurologist. I'm home with my family so I should not complain. I do not see Dr. Porter again until dec 13th and have bloodwork tomorrow. Hopefully, all will be well. So many many thanks again for all of your love and support. I don't think you can imagine how much it means to me. Love to you all,

Debbie

How wonderful to see the grandkids. Looking forward to having that joy someday myself. but for now, the dog'll have to do. We're having fun with him. Enjoyed the beautiful weather with him this weekend walking at Green Lane and on the Perkiomen Trail. Went to CA to see Kate. She's doing well. Finally got a job at UCSB. Looking forward to seeing her again over C-mas. She said Boyfriend Kris is coming in with her. Yeah! Matt & Laura are doing well - paying off car and student loans before they're ready to start a family. I keep reminding them that we started without even owning a house, but I guess times are different...
Hope ortho can quickly get rid of that back pain for you or get you to neuro and they have a quick and easy resolution up their sleeves. Keep taing it easy and enjoy the holidays. Oh, guess that sounds like an oxymoron to you. :) Well, you're never too old to learn something new. So, relax and enjoy the holidays!! Love, Mussie

Happy Belated Thanksgiving. What a great day for you to be around all your lovely family. We too were surrounded by family and it was good. Spent Black Friday with my future daughter-in-law and all the bridesmaids looking for dresses up in Wilkes Barre - was successful and had a tremendous time. Great having all my kids home - even if it was just for a few hours on Thursday. Ali was home until today and then back to school - only 2 1/2 more weeks and she is home for a whole month (yeah). Keep up the good work - get plenty of rest and enjoy those little walks around the culdesac. Prayers are still coming. Love Shelly

Hey Debbie,
I bet your house feels quiet after having the grandkids for thanksgiving. It was a little hectic around here and the washing machine did not get a break all week-end.

David didn't come home but he promised that he would relax over Christmas. He's kinda freaking out over the finals that are coming up so I didn't put up much of a fuss. I was a little teary all day long - it just did not seem right without him. Thank God my sister did all the cooking and we all gathered at her house. It was fun to have all the cousins together (minus David!). Lots of laughs and conversation.

I miss you and think about you every day. I'm feverishly trying to finish a term paper for my class. UGH! Double UGH! Fifteen pages - I hope I get through with it soon.

Hey, I never sleep anymore so if you're up in the middle of the night call me!

Are you gearing up for Christmas? If you need any help, please let me know. I could put your Santas out! I would even drive you around to shop. PLEASE do not hesitate to call me - I want to help!

Well, I'll get back to work. Love you so much. Stay strong Toots!

BIG HUG
Susan

Debbie:

I just love new blogs. It makes my day. These days it makes my week as I know it is a time consuming process to keep it updated.

Do we eat the Doe? Not me, no way sister! But yes, they make jerky and stuff like that. I just ignore it. Colin was tickled that he did it though. I just don't get the whole sport of hunting.

It is quiet here without football to keep us running. Colin is back in training after a few weeks off...his coach is making he and another boy of similar stature run every day. It is killing him but he is seeing improvement.

Bee's bball season starts on Saturday. That season is long and busy.

Mere leaves tomorrow on Karios...her senior retreat. A required event for graduation. She is so nervous because she is as sappy as Dave and I and she knows she will be crying a lot.

I am busy with work, still doing the gift card program at the grade school ( I told them I am outta there when Bee graduates in May) and keeping the house presentable. Shhheeesh!

Glad you Thanksgiving went well. Winter is coming fast. Tomorrow we are expecting our final day in the 60's and by Friday a low of 17 with ice and snow....

The thought of that makes me long for spring.

Take care and love to all the T's....COD Eileen

Hi DEbs ,and Happy belated T-day..actually I did get a blog in before the day ,it just seems sooooo long ago.... We had a great 1st birthday for The Mackenzie...needless to say ,she was a worthy star ,hamming it up for everyone...all riveted to her every antic...what a doll she is ..later I found tiny blisters on her little patent leather feet...not even these kept her down ..she was dancing her tiny bum off all day long!!Michelle and Dan hosted 60 people,it was a beautiful Saturday and all was wonderful, albeit a tiny hectic...of course there was Paella and Chicken Cacciatore to feed the masses not to mention meatballs and lasagna and Josies Flan and empanada's of chicken, pork and chopmeat with chorizo's...not to leave the Irish out ,there was Mr.Haley's cole slaw...:)...anway , many people asked for you ,sent their prayers, love and best wishes..I hope you felt the "heat" ...will call soon love and prayers :)Bev

HI Debbie, hope this note finds you feeling well.. we've been busy here.. finally Patrick finished his college apps.. with 2 days to spare! Has already heard from one college so this is pretty exciting.. He was in a powder puff football game this week .. the boys are the cheerleaders.. had fun there..
Mark has another baseball camp tomorrow in Davis.. so i am going to go shopping in san francisco for the day with some friends!
Work has been fine.. today the kids colored gingerbread men.. and one of our kids made an impressive"appendage" on his gingerbread man... when the teacher asked him what that was .. he got a naughty smile.. so i said. it was the jon holmes of the gingerbread world! good thing they are only 5!! ha
Missy has been at a place called leader dogs.in detroit.. its a place to help the blind get confidence walking. and eventually get a seeing eye dog. missy is doing amazingly well (always asks about you) anyway.. she told me that at breakfast yesterday she asked this woman next to her if she had any cream for her coffee.. and the lady said yes, and handed missy the little packet, which missy opened up and "plopped it in her coffee" .. it turned out to be a handiwipe! Missy, with her good sense of humor said"well, i can;t drink this now!" ha.. she laughed so hard when she told me that.. thank goodness she has a good sesnse of humor ....
I really hope you're feeling stronger everyday, and that back pain is subsiding.. say hello to joe and the family for me.. love, mdf
