She must love having home cooking and being able to sleep in and enjoy your families life....Beverly, you know how i can always picture you playing Ave Maria on the accordian as a kid ? Welli can really picture you sliding down the mountain screaming all the way. Did the leeces hurt ? Did you have blisters all over?Ya know that reminds me of the day up at Lee's lake house when we jumped from a rope over the lake in our skivvies. I remember screaming like a banshee , thinking we were all going to die of head injuries. Thankfully, no serious injuries other then the loss of your 1ct. diamond earring and damaging your Rolex. What the hay were you doing wearing all that jewelry ? OOOHHHH! i forgot i was talking about our gal Bev.....Rick glad you got some R&R this weekend. I'm excited for you to start goin to the football games. What a glorious way to spend a fall sat. I'm praying and praying that i'll be home for the ND -Penn state game. Even if i have to sit on the couch and be waited on like Cleopatra.....

I'm still doing ok. Every day i wake up thinking , "is this the day i'm gonna get reall y sick?We will take every good day ican get. Do oyu think the stem cells are lost? I got 2 units of blood AND Tylenol yesterday soi'm ready to dance. If they would just let me out of solitary confinement. I see lots of pts. lapping thru the window. Remember the movie with John Travolta "The Boy in the Bubble", Well that's how i feel. So many new pts. to meet and greet and here i am. Not complaining just rambleing on and on. Joe and the boys are coming down soon, so that will keep me busy. Have a great day........ Love Deb

As I was writing about sliding down the rock I remembered us flying though the air on that vine..what a hoot especially the part about us all in our underware ..what a picture ,it would fetch a pretty penny on the black market...you know we are still hoping and praying you will be able to get to the mountains this year ..it will not be the same...I was also thinking about John's dock that broke with everyone on it ..I can't remember when we all laughed so hard (after we took stock of body parts ,of course)..if that didn't call for a bucket of cosmo's nothing would..what a riot..we have had some unique and fun times, and it is like reading a book with the lovely blog in progress each day...better in fact ..because it's all real time stuff...Debs you sound really good..I think of you sitting in your little "bubble" all the time , and my heart aches for you, but I know only good will come of all this and I know you are A
TEKLITS damn it ..and strong to the core ,with a will of steel,so I have no doubt that you and those little stem cell guys will emerge as victors...two weeks honey that's a piece of cake..speaking of cake I just ordered cake for Bonnie's party on Tuesday nite ,I will freeze some and send it on down to you (only if it's really good..which it should be) we will all be thinking of you and of course missing you..take care darling love ,prayers, and hugs..oh by the way Jen had another ultrasound and blood work..the numbers are double and the doc said maybe multiple birth...I don't really think so..but we'll know soon ...personally I'll be thrilled with one little Jen/Will lookalike(cutskies) will let you know ,say prayers XXOO:)Bev

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter. "Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them. "Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. "You'll need other women - Women always do."
'What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. 'Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grown-up! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!'
But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.
After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:
THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you.
Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, Auntie's, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I.
When we began this adventure called womanhood; we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead.
Nor did we know how much we would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still.
Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful I just did.

Deb, so happy to hear your feeling good today, know its frustrating to not be out in the real world(even if it is just the halls for now) but we'll bring it to you for the time being...
Yesterday Tim and Mark went to his catching camp at SF State,Patrick went ot a mall with friends in sacramento, then hiking with 6 other guys,so i had a little time to clean the house around the new puppy.. just as i finished it, i sat down with my diet pepsi, wispride cheese, and wheat thins(remember mo)they all came back!!All wet, muddy, tracking in who knows what..for some reason our house seems to be teenage central this summer.. like i've said before, i love having them over..but i think it's time school starts.. they are starting to make their own meals here!!So, they all hung out here till around 9:30, then went out for milkshakes at In and Out Burgers..
Do you have Stone Cold Mountain Ice cream shop there? it is sooo good, or Jamba Juice?
Today is the last day of camp.. patrick is determined to work on his english assignment he got on the last day of school, due thursday that he is only 20 pgs into, and there are 200 or so pages..I will clean up the new tracks from the boys and puppy, I just got back from a 2 hr walk with my friend and our older(2yr) dog, had a bowl or cereal and a krisy kreme.. so much for the burnt calories from the walk
Deb. when and how will they determine when is the time you can be released from there..im thinking these new stem cells are loving being in your body now that they aren' causing any "ruckus"...Keep getting stronger! love, mdf.

Dear Deb,
Oh, gosh... now we have to imagine you and Bev in your underwear! Fun times!
what do you REALLY think it would fetch on the black market!!??
I's good to see that you're writing about good times and memories. They keep us all sane, I think.
Wish I could give you some of my blood... would first spike it with Essence of Cosmos.
Am thinking of you always, as usual.
Flip-flops are still flapping outside...
Love Lzz

It was so good to see you this weekend, and you look SO good!!!! I am so glad that you are still feeling well, and hopefully these good days will keep coming!! Me & Joey had a great time at the zoo - and we were able to see all the animals!! We saw the Polar Bears !! YAY hahah but they werent swimming in the water.

I spoke to Jessie this morning, and she told me I was supposed to get the new tires! You all really are too sweet, but I was stubborn. (You guys are rubbing off on me!)- Luckily I made it home safe and sound. Joey changed one tire and it filled the other with air--- so I was able to get home no problem. Stranded on the side of the road with a limp tire isnt really a good look I suppose!! So Thank Goodness for him !!

I hope you are having a good visit with your handsome boys now! I will speak to you soon.. Keep up your positive attitude, it is very inspirational!

Love Always,
Alli

Hi Deb,

Well, our long weekend is almost over. Had all our favorites except a'la mode...was gonna have a hot fudge sundae for you, but we had M&M pizza tonight and are too stuffed. Today turned out to be another beautiful one, but so hot. I'm a little red, but not bad. I made cosmos for "cocktail hour" and they were excellent if I do say so myself. I'm going to get some Stoli orange for home now that I know the recipe. Unfortunately, poor Bob hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and 1 cosmo knocked him flat on his fanny. He took a 45 min. nap, woke up for about half hour and fell back to sleep for another hour. He kept saying "you knocked me out Mo". What a cheap date!! I was really hoping to have my way w/ him(wink-wink).
Oh yeah, Cache? Don't bother!!! I was so looking forward to that movie and it completely escaped me. Was one of those that I fast forwarded thru b/c I wanted to see "whodunnit"...only problem was, you never really find out, or at least I didn't get it. Tonight we watched 45 mins of Syriana and turned that off. They had jumped around so much my head was swimming and I had no idea what was going on. Now the yankees and red sox are on, so I'm on the computer.

Always thinking of you, praying for you, hoping every day is a good one and you are back at Tennis way(or Asbury Ave) before you know it. Thank you again to you and Joe for this wonderful weekend...just what the dr. ordered. Sweet dreams.

Love, Mo

Dear Deb (and accused): Yes,we missed the blog and wondered what happened. We're glad you are overseeing what the accused is typing (but you better keep your eye on him!) Sorry to hear about all those gruesome tests, but remember, this is just another bump in the road to recovery. We're looking forward to having you come home so we can throw a big party with lots of good food. (Mom wants me to tell you about the great dinner she just cooked me and the fantastic chocolate coconut cake we're going to make for your party!!!) In the meantime, we'll be praying for you (and the accused, because he certainly needs prayer too!)
Love Mom, Dad and Susie
