Debbie - Photos from Week 1

Ok - so this is no webcam. But for those of you who have not been able to visit yet, here's a few shots of my mom that Kathi M. took last week. I got my mom's permission to share them with you all, mainly because it did my heart good to see her face. Donna Teabags - the bedding makes the room look so inviting. Thank you to everyone for making my mom's room look less like a hospital room and more like home.

Deb,
We have been thinking of you alot here at the Friedman house. I am sorry you have to be going thru all this but i know you will do well. You are tough and strong and you will beat this. I suspect this will be a public thing on the blog so i wont tell you how good (and yes even, as always, sexy) you look. Sorry to say that in public Joe but you know she is special to so many of us ....
We have to get you better and get you back in the office as you have always been a ray of sunshine to brighten my day.......Rich

Good morning Deb,
It's 6:15. I used to start my day with the crossword puzzle, but I'd rather say hi to you. I was good to see your pictures. You look just fine, girl! No TV? Not even Oprah? If I know you, you're spending your time cheering up the other patients on the floor. If you are going to have a Chippendale Santa, and I think the latex is for his hands so they don't come in colors (where is the mind of the FOD who said that!), I will clad myself in saranwrap from head to toe to see! (I haven't had a full class at school for awhhile with all the sickness so I don't think I should visit in person.)
I hope you have another good day. Love, hugs and kisses,
Beth

Hello Deb & Joe!!
I just love the pictures & this blog thing is great. First time blogger. You're my two most favorite people in the whole world, so while I find this whole CHALLENGE!!!! quite difficult. (I'm a real cry baby anymore) Your two smiles in your picture show such strength & give me reassurance.
Joe, I told your Dad that, I found from my personal experience that the prayers of the Faithful are Miraculous. Well, Deb you have got an Army of Believers from what I can see on this blog site.
There is no doubt in my mind, that God is with us in this season of Peace, Hope, and Love. XOXO! Artie Chadwick

P.S. Cathy has sent a little gift from me. I pray it brings you joy. :)

Debbie,
I love the pictures. You look fantastic and Jess is right, it does us all good to see your smiling face. Thanks to Jess for uploading the pictures since I know Kathi is computer challenged and hasn't a clue how to do it. Thank you to the person who called Corpus because Father announced your name at Mass this weekend asking for prayers. You are now in the entire parish's prayers! Take care, Deb and Joe Love, Kay

dear deb,
hope today was not too traumatic for you--the good news is no more hair loss worries--i'm sure you look really cute. we agreed this past summer that you look great in hats!
but on to other more pressing issues--i forgot to tell you that when dropping off your laundry i had the opportunity to meet the wallpaper hanger---lovely man.very aware of the entire situation and also knew all the family members names--did you leave him cliffs notes?i had dennis along and when the wph(wallpaper hanger)informed us that joey had just turned off the water upstairs in the shower dennis insisted in yelling up to him to initiate a conversation. i digress--no surprise--i just want to let you know that the paper and paint combo is spectacular--the green is a much better choice than the cream--the greens match perfectly.okay another worry conquered.enough for today--hope you are feeling well today and if possible will try to see you later in the week.
joe and jessie, you are doing a great job keeping us informed--joe i'm glad that you are stll able to maintain your sense of humor. i think you are one of the funniest people i know. please dennis and i know if there is anything we can do-i am always avail---love to all of you--marian and dennis

Debbie:

Thrilled to see pictures of you. I couldn't imagine you as a patient as you are always...ALWAYS taking care of everyone else. Joe mentioned being healthy...here at this house we have passed the sniffles back and forth twice now. Aunt Angie now has it. Geesh!
The boys saw the pictures and thought you look great. Mere is at work and hasn't seen them. They will certainly cheer her as you know girls are worriers.
Off the get dinner on the table. Thinking of you as always. Wish we could get in a game of scrabble to pass the time. Love Cousin Eileen

So DEb, just heard about the hair situation and know you aren't too happy with it right now..but the people i know who have gone thru chemo come back with what they call the chemo curls, and thicker hair...so, we'll wait to see it when it comes back..
Other than that..i hope your day went well,,,work was fine, the only real excitement was when one of the little boys in our class yelled out during "circle time" "Hey,hey, i've got a hair growning from my arm." see my level of excitement these days.. i sure hope you are okay tonight... i find ice cream helps for any situation..mdf

Deb,
I've never met you, but I feel I know you and your family through Joe.

It's hard to imagine how drastically things have changed over these last weeks. It is touching and comforting to see that your strong, loving family and wide circle of friends are at your side to support not only you, but each other as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
