Good Morning !!

Good Morning everybody,

Well good newa ! i've been without fever and chills now for 12 hrs. i needed 2 showers overnite because i was so sweaty and the water feltso godd. i even got 5 hrs. of sleep, which is probably a record for me. i am slowly getting used to this lap top although my typing is very slow. i like that i can keep in touch with you all at any time and read about you guys too. MaryDay glad the boys are all back home and thatTim will be back to work. Does he still commute to san fran or does he work locally? are you anxious to start back to school?
Mo and Bob and Kate, thanks for the visit and nice blogs. Km you sweetgirl you write such nice words.funny you should mention breathing, the pastoral minister here, Kava(who is greatly loved by all, especially me) mentioned breathing and chanting( kinda like a yoga hindu thing)Joe is gonna see if he can finda dvd for me to practice. she said if you can really control your breathingand chant you can be transported to a "higher" place. i should have taken a class before coming in. i will practice slow breathing today if i can keep quiet long enough. (haha)
Bob anf Kim and kids, hope allis well with you guys and that baseball is good or haveyou finished that special team already? you should all get together with my boys for a day of golf. I hear young bob will beat them all now. Rick, you sound very busy with all the renovatios going on but new bathrooms are the best. it makes such a differance in a house as we've done allbr's in the last 5 yrs. i hated the dust and having workman there but the end result was worth it. Send a pictue when your done.
And to cod eileen WOW 600 hundred people and parties from am till late pm. even for a gal like me who likes to party and dance that sounds like a long day. remeniscent(SP) of the old southern parties that lasted days and the women would nap in the afternoons. Remember Gone with the Wind?)anyway love to dave and the kids, and a special hug to aunt angie.
Well i could keep going and going but this is taking me forever to type.
One more big hello to tessa and cheryl the indiana contingent and lori too if she is reading this. it is so good to rekindle these frienships although you were never far from my thoughts. i know i am rambling on and on but i want allfods to know i think of each and everyone of you everyday and am grateful that God has put you in my life and that truely you are helping me more then you will ever know on this journey. So keepthe blogs comin when you have time. i know that you areall very busy with jobs and kids.i know that you with me in spirit always and i thank you for that. i will write again later.
lots of love debbie

Good Morning, Deb. Now that I'm back to work and in the swing of things, I plan to visit this spot on a daily basis. I am glad that you have been in touch with Tessa, as I was going to call her. I wish she and I could drive/fly out together. You sound so good! Tell your family hello for me. You're the best. I thank God for you! Miss you! Love, Cheryl

Debbie & Joe,
We'll have to be more attentive to the blog than we have been for the past few days. We're blessed with Shane's company this week, so Pee-Pop has his "little buddy" with him & time just "zooms" by. We are just amazed to see how the "young ones" can twist themselves into pretzel sticks & get up w/o any difficulty. If we'd be tied into similar physical knots, it would be "good by time" before we'd be able to walk & stand again. Later today we're going to Lisa's place where a birthday party for all of the August born (Mom /Sue / Lisa /Rick /Larry (in absentia)Teklits' will be. Shane is looking forward to a pasta salad feast. We're glad to read that you've already said "goodby" to Campath, & hopefully, before you know it, the other two (2) "nasties" will be history. We hope that the fevers, et-all, subside & stay away as we find it more pleasurable to see you all than write over the blog. You & the family remain in our thoughts & prayers. Love, Mom & Dad

Good morning Debbie,

So glad to hear that you are without fever and chills and that you got some sleep. Just got back from my friends bach party last night (joan smith and I had to call Ms. Moore to say hello, but alas she did not pick up) and now I'm over at Reens for alittle while. I cannot believe that my friends are starting to get married, this is definitely weird. And I just spotted your husband at the grocery store. Reen left me sitting in the heat while she shopped! Just kidding. Stay strong! We're thinking and praying for ya... Love Meg Noon

Dear Deb,
Thanks again for inviting me to your Journey Blog. You're right in saying this is unbelievable, but one day at a time is the path to take... It's difficult, but I can empathize with you on a smaller scale. When I read your postings I put myself in a "place" where I can hear you talking. I pick up on your classic Debbie sense of humor and you still make me laugh.
Sometimes---as they say---laughter is the best medicine.
I love the picture of you and Joe. I was looking over the other photos too of Emma's Christening and at the shore. You have a wonderful, beautiful family.
Going back home today---still at Kelly's now.
Collin left for his last year in college...our baby! Another chapter...another milestone.
I think Yoga--breathing and all that, would be a great thing for you to do. It's worth a try. I don't know too much about it--all the Hollywood stars are into it. I've read how helpful it can be.
Just wanted to let you know that when I am at work I am logged onto AIM---so hope to catch you online sometime. I will look for you.
God bless you and grant you strength to get though all your treatments with the least amount of feeling miserable as possible.
Hello to all!
Would like to send photos--I do not have your email address. If you get a chance send it to my email: tmcgann@nd.edu
Take Care---Love you xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

deb i have a smith story. we were talking about coming in for a visit when you are ready. the conversation gravitated towards the hallelujiah cruise and our own personal jackie o. says.."i'm getting in on that too"...she then refers back to an older blog and asks "who is the west coast cheerleader?" [mdf]...i fill her in on that info and we go on about how wonderful it would be and that we will have such a great time. our own personal "jackie o" than adds.." it will be so nice to be with other bloggers that we don't really know but feel like we do - like 'chintzy'" now to me, chintzy was a word that my mom used when referring to her friend madeline. madeline would go to lunch with my mom every so often and when my mom came home it was always the same story..."we went to thrift shops and then had lunch and guess who forgot her wallet AGAIN?, she is so 'chintzy'"....so i know that madeline isn't in on the hallelujiah cruise but can you guess which one of your fod's is being called 'chintzy'? i told her i had to report this blatant fod identity theft. also, i think there is one man and one man only who is allowed a passport on our cruise. okay two. joey and bob m. okay three - porter can come. i am thinking of you as we all are , looking forward to seeing you too. i love that you can blog on the laptop now. you know when your kids played soccer and your foot would kick the ball for them? well when i read your blog, i find myself getting REALLY close to the screen. sortof like my old italian babysitter who used to get dressed up to watch tv b/c she thought bill cullen could see her when she watched password. i wonder why she watched password anyway, she couldn't speak english. must have frustrated the hell out of her. a million xo's to you deb........and a million more.kathi

WOW! Did you have a lot of words this morning or what? I'm so glad you 're feeling better. Hope you still do.
I'm lovin all the camaraderie goin' on again, though I have to say that I don't get half of what km is talking about. Should I know who Carrie Bradshaw is and how she walks??? Cuz I don't.
Can you believe Meg and Joanie called km last night from their Bachelorette bus? They are all a hoot.
And oh yeah! Did the boys tell you about our excitement at the Kulpsville WAWA. It's not safe to go buy milk or cigarettes anymore( or pot for that matter) If they didn't tell you about it let me know and I'll explain later.
Deb, don't you love Lindas' blogs. Hi Lin. Everyone says they can hear Debs' voice as they read her posts, and that's how I feel about yours. And I remember that baby shower(one of many), and cannot believe it was 18 years+ ago. Hey, I thought we were going to see you at Bevs...what happened there? You guys all sound great.
Hi to Bill.
Sorry for socializing on your blog dear. Well, gotta go. Kate's going home, now Megs taking her place. She has a bad earache so we've got her on drops and abx, and she's staying for a little TLC. Did Joe tell you we saw him at Genuardis? He was buying all the fixings for supper. How's your appetite today? Getting anything decent on your trays? Gotta eat your protein!!!
TTYL. Sleep tight, in case I don't get back before bedtime. Love you, Mo

Dear Debbie, So glad to see you are "sleeping" and "breathing"!!!! You know we are thinking of you. Just got back from playing in a tennis tournament in Delaware with my sister. We lost but put up a fight. Of course, the other 2 gals could have been my daughters!!! I should have played in the "senior" group!!! I know you are saying how lucky I am to have my sisters - and you are right! John is making meatballs so I have had a pretty good weekend....And I love your picture. Take a deep breath..Love,trudy

Hi Debbie,
Well I be darned, I checked in and couldn't find my morning comments and sure there it was, the lone post on the "second" posting for today...doh.. so I thought I better put something under this one in case you think I didn't visit today. Let's see words of inspiration.. I'm trying to think of an Irish saying... nope nothing coming.. so let me just tell you how wonderful it feels to be a witness to your journey to recovery. You are an inspiration to me as I try to make sense of my new world. All our worlds evolve as circumstances in our lives and the lives of those we care for change. You make me appreciate each sunset, and appreciate the simplier things in life.. like being able to check a blog of someone you truly care for. We are all routing for you and appreciate the life lessons we are getting as a result of knowing you.
I read a quote today..."You were born for this very minute" and I thought of all the minutes in my life that were so meaningful.. this is one.... Lots of Love, Alison your visitor from Rhoades 6

Debbie:

Now you have taken blogging to a whole new level. I have so looked forward to hearing more about your daily doin's and now you can even talk back. Fabulous.

Krista's wedding was fabulous. The two families really made everyone feel a part of the wedding. I have never seen such dancing...fun.

We did leave around 10 as we were anxious for the arrival of Mayra and Fabiola. Of course in typical St Louis fashion the luggage took forever and they didn't make it to our house until after midnight. Talk about tired.

Today we headed to mass highlighted by Bee having to serve. Thought about you there. It is so fun to watch Fabiola take in all the sights of the US. She is very quiet and we are not an easy crowd to get a word in between all of us. Mom came over for what was to be an early dinner as did one of Mere's girlfriends from St. Louis who came on the trip to Philly with her. She is cute and didn't stop talking .

They have now scurried of to the last day of our local "Town and Country Fair". It ends tonight with fireworks. Dave and I decided we had had enough for this year. This is the fair that we miss (oh darn) every other year to come to OC. Tonight the entertainment is Blake Shelton ..."Some beach, Somewhere". You may know that one. Last night it was the Doobie Brothers. Friday was Heart...and the other nights were country. The kids just love going to see all the interesting folks that come. It sure brings out the most outrageous people.

Tomorrow Colin starts "two-a-days". He is so dying about it. It is like 100 degrees here and still no end in sight. Fortunately they go from 7:30 to 1:30 and school starts on the 16th so it is only be a little over a week of this nonsense.

So glad to hear that your fevers have subsided. Now you can get some good rest for the transplant later this week. I am so excited for you as it is just so fabluous that you found a donor snd now you get to take your recovery to a whole new level.

I will be checking in more than ever now that you are keeping such a close watch on it's activity.

Lots of hugs and kisses. <> COD Eileen

Hi Deb! :)
Yea its me arturo. Great picture of you and Joe. One would never know from a picture the challenge you are having to deal with. You are one tough lady. I sure can empathize with your current bouts of high fever day after day. When I was going through my ordeal, you may remember I had the same situation because of my sepsis. I even got an ice blanket. Hey you know does'nt sound like a bad idea for hot days like these. :) It is our fervent prayer that the Good Lord
comfort you during these days of discomfort.
On the home front, Cathy and I had a very nice visit with Erin and Colin in Bethany Beach. John and Helen joined us for the first half of the week, and Sandy and the girls the second half. Great week of sun, which as you know Cathy loves just as much as another beach bum we know. :) The week was only tempered by our concern for the young Penn Stater at home who tested positive for Lyme Disease just prior to our departure for the shore. Ryan was stricken with Bells Palsey, which tipped the doctors off. He should be well on his way to recovery by the time school starts (And football season). Senior year, its hard to believe Deb, as you well know. The year has flown by. :( They get faster all the time. It has been very hectic around the Chadwick household. Ryan bought my Jeep to take back to school, Cathy got a new car, and I get the clunker. :) Par!!
Well I have to go now, I guess I have rambled on enough. It continues to be great reading your blogs from your new friend and personal laptop (PL). Keep us posted. We love you!!!! :)

Hey Deb,

I too am thinking of you, hoping that you're resting up and taking a break from the cyber-world, and not feeling yucky as Alison says.

You should have seen Bob and Kathy on his laptop, writing you a blog. They were too funny. Bob also forwarded the link to her e-mail, so she may be writing herself soon.

We had our meeting today so I have lots to tell you, but I don't want to call in case you're resting. Did you get the ans. machine yet? I guess if I called I could answer that question myself. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, and thinking positive thought in the meantime. xoxoxo, Mo
