Dear Debbie,
Seeing Dalkey Island as the title to your blog made my heart smile!! I just got back from a day in PA looking after my darling nieces and nephew, glad to report they are doing great, surrounded by love. I run to my laptop now quicker than I used to run to the mail box for mail when I first left Ireland (13 years ago!) So eager to hear how you are doing, and so happy when I see one of your humorous posts. Boy HUP really puts you through it sometimes don't they. I share fellow FODs feelings on your stint in the family room! I've slept on the floor at Rhaodes 6 I know how there is a lack of sofas!! Debbie, tommorow is day 0 and a new begining.. to a new life. Here's a promise, if you ever want to go to Ireland again, I will bring you with me. You will get the "real tour" Dalkey included. How is that for motivation. Of course you can only consider Ireland after the FOD cruise.! too many people have their bags packed full of appropriate attire waiting for that one!! lol.. I spent 5 hours in the car with my 15 year old teenager today - he is so amusing.. not at all shy (now where did he get that from!!!). Anyway, he talked forever about stuff I have no clue about and I tried to "fake it, till I could make it" on bands like Live and others I had never heard of!.. then, after I made what I though was an amusing comment.. he says Mum.. you're gay!!! Now FODs don't be running off to cover up your sports bras or anything.. apparently "gay" is the new word for "lame"! anything that is not "totally rad" is .. well gay!!!
all the talk on myspace.com! Debbie, I will be thinking of you and praying hard tomorrow. Tonight I will go to sleep picturing where else I can take you on a "virtual" tour of Ireland... by the time the isolation is over you will know all the spots you want to visit. Lots and lots of love, visitor Alison.

Okay FOD's. You will never guess what today's "Daily Word" is. This one's for you Debbie girl!

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday, world!

I have much in common with people everywhere. We are all creations of God who were born into life on this planet during this time. As I reflect on what I or others have labeled as successes or failures, joys or heartaches, I view all of life as a journey that is worthwhile and enriching.

I thank God for friends and family members who have offered their support and encouraged me to grow spiritually.

No matter where it falls in the calendar year, my birthday is reason to celebrate being alive and to celebrate my oneness with all people.

I am grateful for the birthdays of others too. Each person has the divine potential to transform the world, and I enfold them all in prayer. Happy birthday!

"For you, O Lord, are my hope,
my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Upon you I have leaned from my birth."
--Psalm 71:5-6

Happy Birthday to YOU, Happy Birthday to YOU, and all those beautiful little stem cells that will give you a new life..Happy Birthday to YOU..and may God's blessings be upon you now and always...I wanted to say bye ..tried to call last nite...have some really incredible news on YOUR new B'day...(you may be thinking why is Bev blogging when she should be winging her way to Fla.??) last nite ,as we were all sitting around the kitchen table eating paella in your honor..we looked out the back door and my whole crew was there (they should have been on a plane winging their way to Fla.)...I was really confused...Mackenzie was so cute ,waving at us from the patio...while Jennifer was holding on to Will mouthing "We're pregnant"..at which point I flipped out completely!!!Debbie it is all so unreal,I still can't process it..but I know it's all connected somehow..today she will get the official bloodwork and numbers(her urine was positive and the blood machine was on the fritz..I think that's what she said)..anyway the big gun prayers are out ..I trust in Jesus to save you and my new grandbaby..please God ..and Mary our mother intercede for us....bestow your grace upon us ..sustain us and inspire us..give us strength and faith...and protect us all with the power of you infinite love.-Debbie ,you will be reborn today ,of this I'm very sure.. May God bless you and wrap his arms around you..keep you safe and snug ..Love:)Bev

Debbie--

I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face reading the encouraging words from all your FOD's. We are all so fortunate to be part of your incredible journey to health and happiness. I agree with Donna teabags, those little stemcells are going to be so happy to have a warm, happy home with you. And Joey--what can I say about my Joey? I've always told you I'd adopt him in a second.

I'm so happy that Jessie will be spending your second birthday with you today. I know having her close can make all the difference to you. My love to you all through this incredible day, I know it's just the beginning.

Love,
Cathy
